Should there be a change of the NBA logo

Whether you know who the logo is or don't, you usually don't think of Jerry West. He isn't the face of the league and hasn't been for a very long time. The debate of who is the face is not much of a debate at all Lebron James has put himself in such a place that when you think of basketball Lebron is in your mind, and in the era of social media he has put himself everywhere. The thing is, the NBA will never put a current player as the logo. The obvious choice is to put the greatest player of all time as the logo but the NBA will never tell you who they think the GOAT is because, frankly, it keeps people talking about them because people will passionately make known who they think the GOAT is.

Lebron, Michael, Kobe, Russell, or Kareem whoever you choose as your GOAT that is who you most likely think of when you think of the NBA. Personally Michael Jordan is my GOAT, but he isn't my choice for the logo. He does has many iconic moments from the Air Jordan dunk to The Shot over Craig Ehlo and the Cavs. As for Lebron, his biggest moment is when he said he'd take his talents to South Beach. Kareem has the hook shot and Russell has the rebounding, but nobody screams NBA more than Kobe Bryant. Kobe was drafted into the league when he was 17 years old and played until he was 37 spending 20 years in the NBA. Having many defining moments from his 81-point game to his fifth championship to his final game where he scored 60-points and became the oldest player to ever do so. For the actual logo you can use the famous fist pump, his heart celebration, or my favorite, his signature fadeaway.

Changing the logo would actually make the league money at the end of the day and could bring about new fans who can't connect to the old timey players the logo represents.
