There are six potential QB’s who I think could be the starter next year in Pittsburgh if this is indeed the last season for Ben Roethlisberger.
1. Matt Corral, the young stud out of Ole Miss who was at one point the favorite for the Heisman. Corral has a Pro arm and great mechanics and would fill the role perfectly in the “post Ben” era.
2. Kenny Pickett, The Steelers might have to trade up in the draft for Pickett, but the hometown kid has the potential. He is a great athlete at the QB position and could run the offense to perfection.
3. Aaron Rodgers, the sexiest pick for Pittsburgh and the one that would have instant success. Rodgers would have to express his desire to leave Green Bay once and for all but that doesn’t seem to be a problem.
4. Malik Willis, he is very raw when you look at his mechanics but had the upside like Corral. Willis would be a project that would have Rudolph start the ’22 season, and Willis learn behind the veteran.
5. Teddy Bridgewater, he clearly isn’t the answer in Denver and is a very safe QB that would let his defense win the games. Signing Teddy would be a disappointment for Steeler fans but would run the offense pretty well.
6. Dwayne Haskins, why not give the former #15 overall pick a chance? He has had the time to mature and become what he was drafted to be, plus you don't have to give up and draft capital.
