The Bears haven’t necessarily needed a coaching change until this season. Matt Nagy became worse and worse since winning coach of the year in 2018 and barely losing to the eventual Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles. However, the Bears have fired Nagy and are in the mix for one of the top guys since they have one of the best positions available for a coach.
5. Greg Roman, he is a fantastic offensive mind who helped Lamar Jackson win the MVP award in 2019 and led the offense to record rushing numbers in 2020. Greg Roman would help develop Justin Fields become the best he can be while also letting the defense do their own thing and succeed.
4. Doug Pederson, the superbowl winning head coach seems like a great fit a Chicago team that needs to find their offensive identity. Pederson got the most out of Carson Wentz so I believe he can help Justin Fields be the best he can be. He also commands a lot of respect from the defensive side of the ball for an offensive coach.
3.Nathaniel Hackett, the offensive coordinator for the rival Green Bay Packers fits in more ways than one. He brings an offensive scheme from one of the best offenses in the league and knows how to let a QB work with their strengths. Also taking a coach from your rival has worked in the past.
2. Jim Harbaugh, has shown no intentions of leaving Michigan but if he does Chicago would be the number spot for him. He has connections there since he played for the Bears nearly 20 years ago and would be perfect to help Justin Fields develop into a franchise guy.
1.Brian Flores, he was fired unexpectedly from Miami for having “bad relationships” inside the building and specifically with Tua. Flores, if he can bring a good offensive coordinator, could succeed with this Chicago team who still has pieces from their playoff runs and most importantly, Khalil Mack.
