What will Denver do?

The Denver Broncos are deceptively good on offense. Cortland Sutton coming back from injury to pair with Jerry Jeudy and Tim Patrick is huge and will make an immediate impact. Noah Fant has emerged as a number one tight end and their runningback room is good enough to release Phillip Lindsay and not suffer from it. Most importantly the offensive line has made that jump to compare to when Peyton Manning was there. However, there are three reason why Denver will miss the playoffs for the sixth straight season. First, their defense is past it's prime with and aging/injured Von Miller and their only bright spot on defense is Justin Simmons which they overpaid for. Second, the AFC West is the strongest it's ever been with Patrick Mahomes leading the Chiefs, Justin Herbert leading the Chargers and the Raiders always being a threat to Denver. Third and most important is the QB situation Denver has. If their starter is in house already they seem doomed because Drew Lock has not been the guy people thought he was coming out and we all know what Teddy Bridgewater is and that is below average. The hope for the Broncos would be to catch a big fish like Aaron Rodgers or Deshawn Watson. (even with the sexual assault allegations) Bringing in a guy like either of them would be huge and would allow them to compete in the tough AFC West but without it they finish 4th once again.
