What Should The New York Giants Do In The Draft?

With the NFL Draft just a week away I decided to take a look at one of the most storied franchises, The New York Giants. The Giants are one of the oldest teams and have four Superbowls to their name thanks in part to Eli Manning and Tom Coughlin. However, neither of them are there anymore and the franchise seems to be in disarray. New York has has three Head Coaches come and go since Coughlin was fired, with a fourth ready to start his first season . Meanwhile in the QB room, they have no idea which way to go at the position. Whether it be Daniel Jones or someone else, it seems that they will likely endure a sixth straight losing season. So should the Giants take a QB in April? No! With QB's coming available every offseason why waste one of your high picks on a QB. Do not take another WR. Take a defensive player, take an offensive tackle, and wait until next offseason, or the trade deadline, then make your move. Roll with Jones, pick up his fifth year option and plan for next season and see what Brian Daboll can squeeze out of him and who knows maybe he can get Jones to take the leap Josh Allen did. About the draft, New York needs to make a splash with two picks in the top 7.

Prediction

The team needs protection so a tackle is a must. Some mock drafts have Charles Cross From Mississippi State but I think the Giants need a guy with more experience and leadership traits. A guy like Evan Neal from Alabama, he's a starter right out of the gate and is bigger than Cross. On the defensive side James Bradberry isn't getting younger so I think they take CB Derek Stingley Jr.

Sauce Gardner might be the safer pick but as I said earlier they need to make a splash!
