In the upcoming NBA draft the Rockets hold the 3rd overall pick and there is an abundance of "slash 4" style players available at the top of tonight draft. The Rockets also have two young up-and-coming stars in Jalen Green and Kevin Porter Jr, and they want to get younger at every position. The trade in question sent Christian Wood to the Mavericks for Boban Marjanovic, Marquese Criss, Trey Burke, Sterling Brown, and pick 26 in tonights draft. On the surface it seems the Rockets swindled as much as they can for Wood, but in reality they got a couple fringe guys that wouldn’t make 20 rosters around the league. After all that the Rockets are fine, they’ll get a great player in tonights draft and will move away from being a bottom dweller in the West.
