The number one prospect got the call last night, Wander Franco will make his major league debut today against the Red Sox. Franco will bat second in the lineup and will play shortstop tonight for the Tampa Bay Rays. Earlier this season the rays traded away a formidable starter in Willie Adames, who helped the Rays win the American league last season. This move comes with no surprise because of his numbers in the minors. In the Minors Franco batted .332 and boasted a 95% fielding rating. In all reality Franco can be a co-star besides Randy Arozarena, and could possibly lead to another AL pennant this season. Tune in tonight on Bally sports or MLB extra innings to catch the game, if you can't watch the game check the stat line after and see what this young kid does tonight against the Red Sox.
