Over the weekend Jazz head coach Quin Snyder stepped down from the position, but what does this mean for the team? Since hiring Snyder in the summer of 2014 the team has missed the playoffs only twice and those two years were his first where he went 38-44 and 40-42 respectively, just missing out. Out of the six times the Jazz went to the postseason three of them were first round exits and the other three were second round losses. With the worst loss coming in 2020 against Denver where they blew a 3-1 series lead in the bubble. There has already been rumors that Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert don't like each other and that Mitchell avoids talking and passing to Gobert at all costs, and Snyder stepping down makes you question all of there statuses for next season. I think Gobert was on his way out no matter what it was just a matter of where but Mitchell could be on the move as well now, with New York being the trendiest destination since Mitchell is from there. A total rebrand could be coming on top of all the basketball moves, including a name change and color change. So the question is; why blow them up? The answer is that this team is not good enough to win a championship behind Mitchell and you can't have a team be so dysfunctional that they don't talk in the locker room or outside of the arena.
