Outside looking in:
Kyler Murray, Great young talent but hasn't been able to stay healthy and hasn't kept up his success throughout an entire season.
Derek Carr, He has proven himself to be a top guy in this league but some guys have surpassed him.
10. Joe Burrow, One of the most accurate passers in the league but he lacks in arm strength. He also only has one full season under his belt or else he would be higher.
9. Matthew Stafford, Has all the intangibles and a great team around him. Coming off a superbowl win you'd think he'd be higher but that just shows how much talent is in this league.
8. Justin Herbert, He has proven that he is the next guy up, but the lack off postseason appearances keeps him from being higher.
7. Lamar Jackson, Speed and mobility have Jackson performing at a high level day in and day out. The only issue he has is staying healthy.
6. Tom Brady, The GOAT at 6? Yes. Tom has been terrific forever but father time keeps the 45 year old out of the top 5.
5. Russell Wilson, A change of scenery should do Wilson some good, and the weapons he has in Denver will make that offense scary.
4. Aaron Rodgers, He doesn't turn the ball over but that has always been true about Rodgers. Age and lack of talent around him will finally show this season.
3. Patrick Mahomes, Widely considered the best QB talent of our time, he is bound to regress with Tyreek Hill being in Miami and having no true #1 receiver.
2. Deshaun Watson, After a year of scandal, Watson is finally back. (suspension pending) However, we saw what he did with no talent around him. That being, leading the league in passing yards and touchdowns.
1. Josh Allen, The next guy up in many peoples eyes, but he will be even better than he was last year after losing a heart breaker in the playoffs last season.
