The Forgotten MVP

Mentioning Isaiah Thomas these days makes people not listen or read what else you have to say about him. Whether that be because he didn't actually win the MVP or that many people just want to discredit his accomplishments from 2018. He is finally back to full health after his career threatening hip injury, according to him at least. Either way the 5' 9" point guard out of Washington is ready to prove he is still in his prime, be it the tail end or not. In his debut for the Pelicans this season, he played twenty-five minutes, scored ten points, grabbed two rebounds, and dished out two assists in a loss. There is a good reason for the loss though, the Pels best player Brandon Ingram, didn't play and the Hawks had a historic night shooting the three going 13 for 13 from behind the arc in the third quarter. Tonight they have a bigger challenge when they travel to the Brooklyn to play the James Harden-less Nets where he should see some extended minutes. I expect his ten day contract to be re-upped at least once if not signed for the rest of the season. This offseason some team will call him up and sign him to a multi-year deal but until then the thirty-two year old will try and prove his worth down in New Orleans.
