QB Frenzy

This offseason has been anything but what we had expected. The movement at the QB position has changed the landscape of the NFL as we know it. Today I will rank the moves that have happened so far.

Honorable Mention: Baker Mayfield, he will play elsewhere in 2022 but it is unclear where that will be. Seattle and Carolina seem to be the two teams linked with him.

6. Mitchell Trubisky, Pittsburgh: The Steelers had to address the QB room after Big Ben retired and Trubisky just fits. Was it the best move? Clearly not, but it makes sense not to spend top money when the team is so good at development.

5. Matt Ryan, Indianapolis: This move seems to me like a backup plan. Ryan is clearly past his prime and on his way out. His contract is way to high for a guy of his caliber. However, the Colts needed a "plug and play guy" so they got what they wanted.

4. Carson Wentz, Washington: The newly named Commanders were all in for a QB this offseason and ended up with the 2017 MVP runner-up. But that's just it, he hasn't been the same guy since. I'm hopeful he can be a shell of his 2017 self and lead this Washington team to the playoffs.

3. Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay: This isn't in spirit with my list, but it deserves a mention. The Packers made a mistake drafting Jordan Love and they realized that this offseason. His cap it is astronomical but his presence on the field makes him worth it, for now.

2. Russell Wilson, Denver: The Broncos have been searching for a QB since Peyton left and John Elway has failed them at every turn. Whether it was Paxton Lynch or Brock Osweiler it was complete disaster. This year was different though, John Elway hired George Paton and everything fell beautifully into place with the acquisition of Wilson.

1.Deshaun Watson, Cleveland: Clearly Cleveland is all in for the foreseeable future. Acquiring Watson will go down as one of the best moves in franchise history depending on one thing, and that's how much he plays amid looming suspensions. We will all have to wait and see, but for now, this is my favorite move of the offseason. So far.
