LaMarcus Aldridge could potentially sign back with the Portland Trailblazers, his first NBA team. This is more than a feel good story the move would actually benefit both parties. As Jusuf Nurkic returns the Blazers are already getting bigger, making their rotation more balanced. Aldridge would just bolster their big man depth while being able to play with Nurkic on the court at the same time, something Kanter is able to do but he serves more as a "small ball center" rather than a power forward. Bringing in Aldridge as a potential "stretch 5" is huge. Imagine having Lillard, McCollum, Anthony, Covington, and Aldridge all on the floor late in game, that squad would be deadly from long range.
