It's trend around the league today to bash Paul George when he loses, whether that be by 1 or by 50. In today's NBA he's a laughing stock, he called himself Playoff P after one playoff series and people lost it, thinking he wasn't worthy of giving himself a nickname. Even though he did so years prior when he changed his jersey number to 13 so people would call his PG-13. However, all this slander is unwarranted. Todays fans don't understand just how good he was before the injury and some fans don't even know that he was injured.
Back in August 2014 during an Olympic scrimmage Paul tried to block a shot and landed awkwardly breaking his tibia and fibula. The two years before, his Pacer team took the Lebron led Heat to seven games in the eastern conference finals, narrowly losing both times. Coming off of back to back all-star appearances George was primed to make another run through the playoffs with Lebron going back to Cleveland the door was open just a little more this season, but unfortunately injury struck and sidelined him for nearly two seasons, and didn't reach his form until the 2019 season where he was named all-NBA first team, came in third in MVP voting and started to regain the fans support playing for the Oklahoma City Thunder. Unfortunately he decided to demand a trade to the Clippers to join Kawhi Leonard which ruined his reputation with the fans and ultimately gave him the nickname Pandemic P while in the Playoff Bubble during the 2020 season when he struggled to score 10 points a night for the Clippers and lost a 3 to 1 series lead to the Nuggets.
