The Jags drafted Travis Etienne in the first round. Many people including me questioned the pick after James Robinson broke out last season, even getting some rookie of the year votes. Etienne was Trevor Lawrence's college teammate at Clemson and pairing them together brings immediate chemistry to that backfield. I thought maybe they brought in Etienne to be that change of pace back behind Robinson, that way they could always have a formidable back in the game. However, I'm hearing that Etienne will be taking the majority of his offseason reps at slot wide receiver. That brings even more questions when you look at all the receivers available at pick 24 where they took Etienne. All in all Travis Etienne is a great college player whose speed translates to the NFL. He also has the hands to play wide receiver at the pro level. Jacksonville won't compete for the playoffs this season but they sure are becoming a team to watch in 2021.
