Kyler Murray and Daniel Jones are both headed into their third seasons as pros and have had pretty similar careers so far. Overachieving in their divisions and leading their teams to average regular season records and just missing the playoffs. Also this offseason their teams have improved massively on paper, Let's start with Arizona.
Arizona Cardinals: Last offseason they acquired Deandre Hopkins and without a real offseason program last season you can assume this is the first time they can learn and work out together. This offseason brought in AJ Green and JJ Watt while losing Patrick Peterson, Haason Reddick, and Kenyon Drake. Metrically the additions outweigh the subtractions which means Kyler needs to Have a breakout, MVP type season or the general fan will close the book on him and label him a bust. Even having won rookie of the year honors in 2019 this year has major implications and I think he can do that this year.
New York Giants: They added Kenny Golladay, John Ross III, and Kyle Rudolph to really bolster that offense and with Saquan Barkley (ACL) and Nate Solder (COVID) coming back from last season they are poised. The only problem being Mr. Overthrow himself Daniel Jones. Jones more than Murray needs to prove himself this year, he has been seen to the masses as the next Jamies Winston because of the turnovers he commits. I'm not so confident in Jones this season but with these additions he might take steps.
