Sacramento has been a terrible franchise since 2006 and that is non-debatable. They have also whiffed on draft picks, the most egregious one being taking Marvin Bagley III over Luka Doncic and Trae Young. They have destroyed some careers as well including Demarcus Cousins, George Carl and likely De'Aaron Fox unless something changes drastically. The new coach they hired comes from the Golden State Warriors and we all know what happened with the last coach they "stole" from Golden State went with Luke Walton, who was a failure. This time around it is Mike Brown, passing up on current interim head coach Alvin Gentry who went 24-41 with. It seems Brown will have total control over the basketball decisions after a horrible year of moves. One being trading Haliburton to the Pacers for Domantas Sabonis, who does pair well with Fox. Mike Brown helped the Cavs as an assistant coach to win 60+ games in the two season he was there. (Lebron was on those Cavalier teams.) I fully trust Mike Brown to help this franchise at least make the playoffs for the first time in 16 years but I can't see them doing better than that unless they absolutely get a steal in the '22 or '23 draft.
