Early on, the Chase pick seems to have been the wrong pick at number five in this years draft. Notably Penei Sewell who went two picks later to Detroit was the favorite to go to Cincinnati to try and protect Joe Burrow. That should be the Bengals first priority since Joe is coming off a terrible knee injury that ended his rookie season. The most recent news, if you can call it that, about Chase has been disturbing to say the least. Earlier today on Instagram Chase's girlfriend alleged Chase had assaulted the woman who is pregnant. No one knows if it is true yet but we as fans need to take allegations like this seriously, without tarnishing the player before the facts are established. Chase could turn out to be a huge bust if he can't figure out how to catch the ball or if he gets punished by the league for the alleged domestic violence. What makes things worse for Chase is the talent that came out this year at the offensive line positions. Players like Sewell, Slater, Vera-tucker and Darrisaw will loom over the Bengals if Chase busts.
