Justin Fields is not the second best prospect in this years draft but in terms of quarterbacks that's what he is, second best. Trevor Lawrence has been the clear number one since he was a freshman in high school and has been deemed the best prospect since John Elway in 1983. Comparing them is apples to oranges though, Fields had to work every second and even had to transfer from Georgia just to compete for a starting position. Fields posted a 4.43 40 time which ranks in the top 7 ever for the quarterback position. He has fallen in the ranks these past few months for some reason to Zach Wilson, an intriguing prospect from BYU but I don't get the hype behind Wilson. Fields has been the better player for the entirety of the season and all of a sudden he's behind Wilson? The Jets are picking second in this years draft so you know they'll make the wrong choice in Wilson, even though I believe he'll have a good career. Fields also proved his worth at the highest level, making it to the championship game while Wilson lost to Coastal Carolina. That makes Fields a trade up canditate if the Falcons pass on him at four, look for Washington and New England if he is still there at 8. Mark my words, Justin Fields will have a more successful career Zach Wilson, but only time will tell.
