Ja Morant Has Arrived

The Grizzlies tied the series up at 1-1 heading to Golden State for games 3&4. They won game 2 largely behind Ja Morant's 47 points 8 rebound and 8 assist night with a final score of 106-101. The third player to score 45+ points at 22 years old or younger. (Lebron James & Kobe Bryant) Ja had little to no help all night with Dillon Brooks getting tossed 3 minutes into the game and Jaren Jackson Jr fouling out with a little over five minutes to go. On the opposing side Steph Curry and Klay Thompson combined to go 5 for 23 from beyond the arc, one of their worst shooting performances ever. This series has been great so far and if Memphis can can win one in Golden State and keep this series close we could be looking at a seven game series between them.

Meanwhile, in Boston the Celtics made history from behind the arc while blowing out the reigning champion Milwaukee Bucks 109-83. Milwaukee scored a season low in points and three point attempts. Middleton's presence was missed tonight from 3 while he sits out the series with a sprained MCL. The series shifts to Milwaukee for games 3&4 as they look to take a commanding lead in the series in order to rest up for the winner of Heat v 76ers. Coach Budenholzer will have to make some adjustments in order to stop the high powered Boston offense.
