How Much is Julio Jones Worth?

With the draft right around the corner trade rumors are swirling around. Some teams are sellers and some teams are buyers, but it isn't as clear as day like it is at the trade deadline. At the deadline selling teams will just be trying open cap space or get something from a player who is on the last year of their contract so they won't "lose them for nothing". Buying teams on the other hand will be trying to get those players for deals that seem profitable on the surface, like a starting player for 4th round or later pick. This year the biggest rumored trade is Julio Jones, the only problem with the speculated trade is that there is no trade partner. Lets look at some potential teams and some possible pieces in those trades.

Baltimore Ravens: Baltimore has been in the market for a wide receiver since Derrick Mason retired, or honestly since they moved to Baltimore. They just traded Orlando Brown Jr to the Chiefs for a first round pick and now hold the 27th and 31st picks in the first round of this years draft. That is more than enough to get the 32 year old wide out to Baltimore but they would be overspending even if they gave up only one of those picks.

New England Patriots: The Pats need wide receiver help badly. Julian Edelman retiring, N'Keal Harry not preforming well enough, and Jakobi Meyers being your number one guy just screams "help me". Cam needs a reliable wide receiver on the outside. Sure the Pats spent this year in free agency on Nelson Agholor and Kendrick Bourne but those guys pale in comparison to Julio. A second and third is more than enough to pry him away from Atlanta.

Indianapolis Colts: This team rarely makes trades under their new management but what a splash this would be. They have the second most salary cap this offseason and more than enough capitol to move Julio to Indy but it'll depend on the front office. A second this year and a second next year would be their mostly likely trade and would give them a true number one in a wide out rooms full of number threes.

The trade is highly unlikely and the Falcons will try to make the playoffs this year. If they lose a bunch of games early on expect this rumor to pop up again. And expect the same teams to be in on him barring one of them making a deal for another wide out.
