Grading the NFL coaching hires

Denver Broncos: Nathaniel Hackett

Denver made the best hire of the cycle. Hackett brings an elite offensive scheme to Denver and maybe even Aaron Rodgers

Jacksonville Jaguars: Doug Pederson

The right choice in my opinion was Byron Leftwich but he pulled himself out of the running in Jacksonville which makes me believe he will take over once Arians retires in Tampa, but Pederson is a superbowl champion and will help Trevor Lawrence tremendously.

Las Vegas Raiders: Josh McDaniels

McDaniels gets a bad rap for his time in Denver but seeing what he did in New England for years should bring the Vegas fanbase some much needed excitement. Josh will get the best out of Derek Carr and should bring the "Patriot Way" to Las Vegas.

Minnesota Vikings: Kevin O'Connell

This guy was not on my radar but clearly showed something to Minnesota that got him to position. The Rams Offensive Coordinator made Cooper Kupp the best receiver in the league and should elevate the play of Cousins, Cook, Theilen, and Jefferson in 2022.

New Orleans Saints: Dennis Allen

One of two in house hires this cycle. As soon as Payton retired this became the logical choice for the job. The Saints defense was among the best in the league all season and Allen was the driving force behind that. As long as they can get their cap under control this team will stay relevant.

Houston Texans: Lovie Smith

It was Reported that it came down to Flores or Smith and with Flores' ongoing lawsuit against the league the safe play was Lovie Smith, but don't get it twisted, Smith is more than capable to lead this team to success.

New York Giants: Brian Daboll

The Giants are becoming one of those franchises that changes coaches every other season but Daboll should change this. He helped Josh Allen become a perennial MVP candidate and elevated Gabriel Davis into something special. Barkley and Jones should benefit in the same ways in New York.

Miami Dolphins: Mike McDaniel

The most fun hire of the cycle has to be this guy. He has been the shadow of Kyle Shanahan for the past few seasons and has elevated the 49ers runningback room to the top of the league. His scheme will bring the best out of Tua and with the defense the team already boasts, I think th Dolphins are a shoe in for the playoffs next year.

Chicago Bears: Matt Eberflus

Eberflus is not a household name, yet! He will help the Bears become the "monsters of the midway" once again and the hire of Luke Getsy at Offensive Coordinator this team is a serious contender once again, since Getsy was a head coaching candidate himself.
