The NFL officially announced that they will be adding an additional game to the schedule, now making it an 18 week regular season. The week will be added on the front end of the schedule to not move the major dates of the year like the playoffs and the superbowl. The league will also be getting rid of the 4th week of the preseason making it so the majority of teams will now only play three games, with two teams still kicking off the season with the highly rated Hall of Fame game played in Canton, Ohio. The extra week opponent will be determined by using the cross-conference division they faced in the 2019 and will face he corresponding division place finisher from the 2020 season, with this season having the AFC house the matchups in their homes stadiums. Some games we get include Packers vs Chiefs, Buccaneers vs Colts, and Bears vs Raiders just to name a few.
