On Sunday, interim head coach Steve Wilks showed just how different of a coach he is compared to Matt Rhule. He benched veteran wide receiver Robbie Anderson and sent him to the lockeroom as a disciplinary action. I for one loved it, it showed how much he cares for this team and how much he is willing to lead. Even if that means they don't win another game. On Monday he traded Anderson to the Cardinals for pennies on the dollar, only getting back a 2023 sixth rounder and a 2024 seventh. I expect the Panthers to do alittle more shopping around as they intend to not be competive this season, however I do not think we will see big names like Christian McCaffery or Brian Burns hit the market. The names you will most likely hear about are DJ Moore, Shaq Thompson, and Taylor Motion. Guys that are good but are not on the tier of Burns and McCaffrey, and who knows maybe they trade a QB or two or get nostalgic and bring back Cam Newton for a third time. We will have to wait and see but all signs point to the aforementioned firesale.
