Devin is a young player in the league and has overachieved stats-wise, but those stats are all considered empty because he hasn't ever even sniffed the playoffs until last season in the bubble. His all-star "snubs" are almost warranted up until this year where he has lead the Suns to, at the time of writing, the second seed behind Utah in the west, which could be attributed to the addition of Chris Paul.
I've said for years Devin Booker can't be the best player on a championship team and that stands true, even is the Suns win it all this year Chris Paul is the best player on that team. Chris didn't need an injury to open a spot for him in the all-star game. Chris leads the Suns in assists by far and gets the best out of every teammate on the court. Devin started slow and yes, has recently picked up his stats but he plays very childishly on the court. In the game Tuesday against the Lakers he fell and grabbed Kentavious Caldwell-Pope's ankle, tripping him, and later in the game getting ejected for not being able to keep his mouth shut. I question the maturity and leadership ability of this young Devin Booker and hope he can figure it out for the rest of his promising career.
