The Nuggets currently sit as the fourth seed in the west and only six games back of the top seed which is held by Utah. At the trade deadline Denver really bolstered their defense with the additions of Aaron Gordon and Javale McGee. They also just came off their longest winning streak since the days of Carmelo Anthony. With all of that and the fact that nobody trusts the top two seeds, Utah and Phoenix, to actually be threat in the western conference "experts" are finally giving credit where credit is due. In a year where big stars are getting the injury bug the window is open for this to be the year, the year the Nuggets finally make it Finals. Sunday, however, the Celtics came to town and mounted a historic comeback including a 31-3 scoring run in the second half. Although demoralizing, it doesn't take away any championship hopes that I have for the team. I'm not necessarily saying they'll win the Finals but with Nikola Jokic leading the MVP race this is gonna be the year they make it for the first time.
